February Roundup -2026
February wasn’t a very busy month me other than shovelling some snow. I took it easy, signed up for a few runs/walks for charity and read a few more books.

The Mistborn Trilogy and Twisted Wonderland: Rose-Red Tyrant were honestly the best of this month. Mistborn however is my favourite new read and I will definitely be reading that series again in the future while some of the other books were… a one time only deal for me.
I’ve also been enjoying the recent update to my Polar Loop device. I admit that I haven’t been using my Garmin that much as I prefer the Loop for my recovery, Heart Rate Variability (HRV) and sleep stats. I’ve been using it since November. These photos are from a walk to the grocery store pushing my little wagon there and back full of groceries.

It’s funny because a lot of people would complain about how it’s recognizing which activity I’m doing but my Garmin thought I was cycling so..
I would rather it say “other” and be able to adjust it on the website than have Garmin’s move IQ say I’m cycling, give no fitness credit at all and I can’t adjust it to what I was actually doing at the time. Here’s a screenshot of the same activity from Polar Flow website.

Why do I bring this up? Mostly because Medic Alert Canada is advertising their new NAVIVA device and I’m also sick of people hating on a Finland company that delivers good products. I’m so incredibly curious about the NAVIVA but it doesn’t look like Medic Alert is quite ready to release it just yet.
I have also been replaying .hack//G.U. on my Steam Deck and other devices because CyberConnect2 announced .hack//Z.E.R.O. So I must replay the only other games I own and watch .hack//Sign the anime that made way for other such animes like Sword Art Online. It’s a shame that .hack//Sign didn’t get as much attention or love from Bandai. It’s really hard to find the novels .hack//AnotherBirth and .hack//AIBuster.

As I said, not much going on here this month. I hope everyone stays healthy, has some fun and if possible gets a colonoscopy to screen for Colon Cancer.
