The Hero Of Ages

The Hero of Ages is the third book in the Mistborn Trilogy. Although I know there is another trilogy after it, a sequel series.
I loved that we got to see things from TenSoon’s point of view and learn more about the Kandra. In each book of the Mistborn Trilogy we got a complete story. In the first book we had some thieves overthrowing what appeared to be an evil immortal emperor.
In the second book we got to see the aftermath of rebellion. The second book also gave us more insight into our characters, as well as giving us insight into society itself. In each book everything came together like watching threads being woven into a tapestry.
This final book of the original trilogy gave us a good ending which is very hard to do. Brandon Sanderson gave the readers an ending that fit both his characters and the world that he had created. Not only that but he made the journey enjoyable from start to finish. Someone could only read the first book and be happy, or they could read the whole trilogy and get so much more out of the experience.
I’m so glad I took the time to read this series because after some of the other books I’ve read recently.. I wasn’t enjoying reading. I finished those books but they just didn’t hold my interest. This series held my interest and I was frequently reading long past my bedtime. I’ll have to get physical copies of this series, though I might take a short reading break from this author before I read his Wax and Wayne series which is set 300 years later after this book.
