Monthly Roundup – March 2026!
March was a snowy mess of a month. I did however get a lot of reading done. I started March off with Blood series by Tanya Huff. Tanya Huff is a Canadian author that I love. Unfortunately it looks like her Blood series isn’t available anywhere in ebook format anymore.
However the spinoff series featuring Tony Foster is still available so at least there’s a bright side.

I bet you thought that was all I read last month but you would be wrong. I continued reading by adding in Elantris by Brandon Sanderson before trying out The Poppy War by R.F. Kuang. I found out that The Poppy War while a good book wasn’t really for me though.

After The Poppy War I found I needed some lighter fare in my reading so I went to the Heather Wells series by Meg Cabot.

I love that series and it was actually my first time reading The Bride Wore Size 12 as it wasn’t out yet when I did my first read through. I then circled back to read Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson which I enjoyed a lot.

I am enjoying these little book reviews. They definitely increase my joy of reading and prompt me to read outside of my usual authors. I’ve been in a cycle of re-reading a series, then reading Brandon Sanderson, before reading a new (to me) author. Once I catch up on all of Sanderson’s novels though I’ll have to think of a new method to break things up.
I did participate in the latest crowd-founding project so I’ll be getting the Hoid books, chasmfriend pluhie and a chasmfriend pin. I’m looking forward to that as the plushie looked really cute. I didn’t have enough money for the dog and dragon plushies though.
I haven’t been exercising as much but I’ve been focusing more on getting more fibre into my meals to help prevent colon cancer and just be healthier in general. I hope the weather is nice enough outside for some walks/runs soon. Until then I’ll let you all enjoy a picture of the kitty napping.

I hope you all have a good month and are able to stay safe and healthy!!
