Autistic Goblin

We flashback to the little kids. Wen Wen is being pushed on a swing by Le Chien. Le Chien tells Wen Wen that he went back to his hometown with his father and visited a traditional grocery store. Le Chien says that the store was really neat, as it had a lot of things in it.

Wen Wen thinks that it’s cool he’s been to one because she’s never been to a traditional grocery store. Le Chien tells him not to worry as he got her something. Le Chien brought Wen Wen back a lollipop. It’s not just any flavour though, it’s orange flavoured! The two then sit on the swing together with their orange flavoured lollipops.

Back in the present at the cafe, Le Chien is telling Yu He about how he got lost on the mountain and had to stay the night. Yu He complains that Le Chien should have called her after his departure but he reminds her that there is no cell service on the mountain. Yu He asks about the scratch on his leg but Le Chien admits that he doesn’t know how he got it.

Yu He says that his mom would nag about him about it, Le Chien says that’s fine as long as Yu He doesn’t nag him too. Le Chien then thanks Yu He for making the sandwiches, claiming that they would have starved without them. Yu He teases him by saying it means that he can’t live without her to which Le Chien agrees.

Le Chien goes to serve some customers, when Amber arrives and sits down at the bar. When Le Chien comes over he notices Amber going through the photos he took while they were on their adventure. Le Chien tells Amber that he doesn’t remember Amber taking some of the photos. Amber says it’s because Le Chien was walking ahead of him, so Le Chien says that next time, they will take turns taking photos that way there will be some photos of Amber too.

While the two are talking about their recent adventure and going through photos, Yu He looks like she feels left out. She ends up peering at the photos from over their shoulders. Yu He says that they all look very flustered in the photos. Le Chien says they look frustrated because they kept getting lost and it was driving them bananas. Yu He says that Ching Lung looks exhausted.

Amber tells her that Ching Lung was so tired that they couldn’t continue. That’s when Le Chien reminds Yu He that she better go serve that cake she’s holding to the customers that ordered it. Le Chien then happily tells Amber how well he did with the photos he took. Le Chien asks if he can send the photos to Ching Lung as well so they can be included in their work.

Amber has no issues with that and the two continue to chat as Yu He comes back to hover around them. Le Chien apologizes to Amber for having invited him on an adventure.. only to get so lost. Amber says that he doesn’t mind as it was still interesting. Le Chien hopes that they will find the Lone Light Ridge though. Amber asks Le Chien about his leg wound, Le Chien says that it’s fine but he had to take off the gauze otherwise his mom would notice it.

Yu He takes that moment to pipe up saying that she discovered his injury anyway. This leads to a sibling like squabble between the two about Yu He being a bit of tattle tale. Amber just smiles while watching the two fight.

At his home, Ching Lung is editing the video he took of Amber and Le Chien. He asks his boyfriend Yu Chen about how he thinks the two did. Yu Chen says that he thought Amber did a really good job only to have Ching Lung say that it was an okay performance. Ching Lung’s imagination then takes over as a scene forms in his head of Le Chien offering Amber a ring.

Then Ching Lung runs a different scenario in his head of Le Chien being in the military with Amber as a civilian falling in love. This scene even includes a very steamy kiss (SMOOCHES!!). His boyfriend must have noticed something because Yu Chen hits Ching Lung on the head with his book to get him to snap out of his daydreams.

Back at the cafe, Yu He is watching a video on her phone with her brother when they both start to laugh. Le Chien wonders what they are watching so Yu He tells him that she’s watching the latest video on his channel. Le Chien is confused because he didn’t upload anything.. but Ching Lung did. It’s a BL video starring Amber and Le Chien! The video was called the Wounds of Love on Lone Light Ridge and it already has a bunch of comments from fans shipping the two.

Some of the fans are wondering if the channel is changing themes from horror exploration to BL. In fact Yu He suggests that Le Chien should do just that as it would be a lot easier to film. She also teases him because he had said they were too tired to walk down the mountain.. yet the video shows something else. Le Chien tells her that’s not what happened.

Le Chien phones Ching Lung to complain about the video, saying that it made him look like a pervert. Ching Lung gets really angry as he spent all night editing that video. Le Chien backtracks a bit saying that the beginning of the video was okay but the end of the video was completely off topic. Ching Lung however is really proud of the last bit of the video especially as it seems to be quite a hit on their channel. Le Chien says it doesn’t match their channel’s theme though.

Ching Lung says it’s perfect for their channel because it was during the adventure that a love bloomed, so he’s not changing anything. Le Chien continues to argue but Ching Lung says that their adventure channel wasn’t doing well, so they needed to change in order to get more subscribers. Le Chien is worried about how he will face Amber after this video came out and demands that Ching Lung delete it. Since the video did gain them subscribers.. Ching Lung isn’t going to delete a thing!

Ching Lung hangs up the phone then looks at all the comments on the video. He tries to share the good news with his boyfriend but Yu Chen doesn’t seem interested, he’s in too much of a hurry to get out the door. Ching Lung then goes online to order some condoms.

The next day the cafe is closed while Le Chien changes some light bulbs, Amber with the perfect timing hands him a fresh light bulb. It turns out that Amber may have found a path that leads to Lone Light Ridge after studying both the map and the GPS. Yu He and her brother come out from somewhere in the back with a big tub, prompting Amber to ask if they are cleaning.

When Amber offers to help, Yu He brutally shuts him down. Le Chien tries to soften the blow by saying it wouldn’t be right for non staff to help but it’s clear that Amber’s feelings were deeply hurt. Luckily Chien’s Teng (her brother) says that it’s fine and that he will even pay Amber, if he wants to work part time. Yu He looks upset but doesn’t say anything.

Amber and Le Chien go into a storage room that’s pretty dark as the lightbulb there also needs to be switched out. Le Chien says he’s worried about Amber’s clothes getting dirty, so he goes to grab an apron from a high shelf. It wouldn’t be a BL though without something falling so Le Chien protects Amber from a box that fell from the shelf. It leads to a pretty intimate moment between the two before they separate slightly embarrassed. Le Chien then helps Amber put on the apron.

Chien Teng needs to go buy something so he asks Yu He to go with him. The two leave the cafe not realizing that the door to the storage room is stuck so Amber and Le Chien are locked inside. Le Chien only notices the door is stuck when they go to leave. Amber looks really uncomfortable as he realizes that his phone and Le Chien’s are both on the other side of the door. Le Chien starts to bang on the door but there’s no response.

Le Chien says that the other two probably can’t hear him but if they wait, someone will notice and eventually open the door. The two sit down between some shelves but Amber is starting to have trouble breathing. Le Chien notices that Amber is struggling and offers to find something to force the door open but Amber claims that he’ll be fine. Amber admits that he is having trouble breathing though. Le Chien tries to help comfort him but it’s obvious that Amber is terrified of being locked in.

In the car, Chien Teng asks if there’s something wrong between Yu He and Le Chien. When Yu He doesn’t answer, he tells her that he only hired Amber because cleaning before the anniversary means things will be pretty busy and he didn’t want his sister to get exhausted.

Yu He looks tries to verbalize what’s going on but in the end she remains silent even after her brother tells her that she should say something if something is bothering her.

Back in the storage closet, Amber seems to have calmed down. Le Chien asks if he has panic attacks a lot but Amber says it only happens when he’s too long in an enclosed space. Amber says that he had some bad experiences when he was abroad. Le Chien figures out that the other two went out shopping so it may be awhile before they come back.

Le Chien then asks if Amber saw the latest video on the channel. Amber admits that he saw it, so Le Chien is quick to tell him that he told his friend to delete the video. Amber doesn’t understand why Le Chien wants the video deleted since he thought it was quite creative. Le Chien asks Amber if he feels uncomfortable watching the video. Amber says that it doesn’t bother him at all, he thought it was quite good.

Amber also says the video got great feedback on the channel. Le Chien says that Amber is too kind but admits that they did get a lot of comments on the video. Amber says that he doesn’t mind the video because it is helpful to Le Chien. Le Chien then says that Amber reminds him of a friend he used to know.
