Edgedancer
Edgedancer is the book in between Words Of Radiance and Oathbringer. In other words.. it’s book 2.5 of the Cosmere.
This is a story about Lift a character we meet in the second book. In fact the first part of this novel is a copy and paste from there.
Luckily after that the reader is given a side quest featuring Lift. According to Brandon Sanderson this was to patch some gaps in the overall story of the Stormlight Archive. It’s a bit of funny story that has to do with pancakes. We do see Lift change and grow a bit in this story which I’m sure will be important later.
It was interesting to see Lift’s nemesis and learn a bit more about them. Some familiar characters were also mentioned with an old enemy actually appearing and being useful. I would definitely recommend reading this one as it’s mostly a light little romp that reminds a bit of Avatar the Last Airbender actually. (No cabbages were involved though).
