From the Teavivre website:
This Lemon Mate tea of TeaVivre is made from all the leaf blades, so the shape of dry tea leaves are tiny and flat, in yellow-green natural color.
Besides, blended with natural citronella and dried fruits, this blend tea has a unique flavor. After steeping, the tea infusion appears yellow-green color with fragrant aroma as well refreshing and sweet taste.
When you are drinking, you can add some ice to make iced tea, and you can also add fresh fruits to adjust the taste regarding on your preference, which will have another special flavor.
Ingredients:
Mate tea, pineapple, citronella, dried lemon, chrysanthemum and edible flavoring
I’ve always found that lemon pairs well with mate. When you open up the bag you will smell a nice citrus scent. Then you put some of that loose leaf in your cup and it will steep to a nice dark colour. I steeped it for 7 minutes. The lemon taste is hidden with the pineapple so it reminds me of a tropical tea more than a lemon one.
Teavivre always puts the temperature in both Celsius and Fahrenheit which is an added bonus when your variable temperature kettle is sadly stuck in the Imperial system.
