Pokémon Go Fest

So this weekend was Pokémon Go Fest and while it used to be in real life event only, since the pandemic it has been a global thing as long as you purchase your ticket. For those that don’t know the creator of Pokémon Satoshi Tajiri is Autistic and he created the game because he loved to collect bugs and wanted to share that joy with the world.
Pokémon Go Fest has a lot of fun things to do from challenges to Raids. We all know that most important part however is collecting and adding to your Pokédex while hopefully get a shiny or two in the process.

I did manage to get a few legendary Pokémon that I was missing added to my Pokédex however I didn’t finish the Special Research task yet. Luckily even after the event is over, you have time to complete that once it has been initiated. I also managed to snag a shiny Galarian Ponyta with a top hat which is kind of cool.

All in all I had a lot of fun this weekend. I didn’t meet anyone in the real world but I did lots of raids with people I knew in real life, and virtually even though I wasn’t physically in their area. It’s fun to see how far someone “travelled” with a remote raid pass to participate. I wonder how I’ll go at next year’s event!
