Gardens of the Moon

I see this book recommended a lot in Fantasy spaces. Malazan seems to be a bit polarizing, you either love it or hate it. Although I did see some posts saying it was confusing as well.

I wasn’t confused by it, but I couldn’t get attached to any of the characters either. It’s an interesting tale but it just isn’t for me.

This is an epic fantasy story which would be fine but because I couldn’t connect with any of the characters, I found reading this book to be a chore rather than something I enjoyed. I did find the magic system to be interesting and I have dark suspicions about the warren but we could always blame Watership Down for that….
