Monthly Roundup! -February 2022

This month was huge because I got an indoor exercise bike from Costco that is IFIT compatible. I’ve been exploring the programs, testing out various beginner ones as I prepare myself for spring when I can actually go outdoors on my own bike and cycle around.

Oddly enough I even managed to lose a little bit of weight, but I’m more interested in building my leg muscles than weight loss. I want to be able to tackle the longer cycles as soon as the weather warms up and the paths dry up.

I’m also doing my best to drink more water but I’m still not very good at it. I bought a citrus mix from Superstore (president’s choice brand) which is just sliced lemon and limes, I add them to the water to make it more drinkable.

The Echo stuff just broadcasts my heart rate from my Apple Watch to the IFIT app which is why there is always one associated with the IFIT workout but it’s not a separate workout. The last workout I did the app didn’t seem to register the broadcast though which is annoying. I do love having a way to do a cycle at home, especially since it’s a recumbent bike much like the one I actually ride outside.

February is a short month so I’m excited to see how many kilometres I can ride in March! Stay happy, healthy and safe everyone!
